Thursday the 29th was the Classic Sportscar Club’s pre season test day on the Snetterton 300 circuit. We took Bluebell for a shakedown following the winter lay up. The car ran very well, plenty of power and no unusual noises! We found a few issues that need attention, a split rack gaiter for example. Marky noticed that the car seemed more stable in fast left hand bends and was struggling to carry as much speed through right handlers like Coram and Riches. We decided that the solution is to replace the rear dampers as the left unit appeared to be the cause of the handling issue.
A high speed vibration through the steering also pointed to a front end issue and on inspection it was discovered that the left front tyre is flat spotted in a couple of places and will have to be replaced.
