Snetterton 12/4/15

CSCC Swinging Sixties Round 1

Mike: 13th, 4th in class D. Best lap 2.24.8
Matt: DNF. Best lap 2.29.3
TC: DNF. Best lap… Errrrm…

Well it was a bit of mixed luck for us at Snetterton on Sunday. Qualifying went smoothly for Mike but Bluebell wasn’t running right having oiled a plug on the way to assembly it refused to clear so Matt qualified further back than he felt he should but TC came off worst when the Orange B barely made it out of the pit lane before cutting out and refusing to start. In the race it was Mike who again did best taking the Red C from 22nd on the grid to finish 13th and 4th in class, he said afterwards that the car was running perfectly.

Matt made up a load of places and came into the pits to do his stop from 20th having started down in 33rd position… And then the car refused to re start in the pit lane, so a disappointing retirement.

As for Tony, in his own words ‘If I didn’t have bad luck, I’d have no luck at all’ despite running perfectly following some work after the breakdown in qually the orange B once again died out on the circuit in the opening laps, electrical gremlins are thought to be the problem. There is something about Snetterton that the car obviously doesn’t like, it’s never finished a race here!
