BRSCC OSS Championship rounds 4,5 & 6
We enjoyed another great weekend with the OSS. Unfortunately due to an oil pressure issue we were only able to get two of the three Synergys racing but this is progress over the season opener at Silverstone where we only had one car running!
Kevin was driving the BCU No: 99 car while Matt and Paul shared the yellow No: 94. As expected Kevin was the fastest in qualifying and the races, apart for the fact that he’s simply better at it he’s also got lots more experience in the car, the other two having only covered a few laps at a soaking wet Snetterton earlier in the week. Paul took the first race on Saturday and Matt did the two shorter races on the Sunday and both enjoyed their first competitive outing in the new. We aren’t expecting to compete with the rest of the OSS field as the whole aim is for the Synergy to be in it’s own class however these outings are excellent experience for the Aquila/BCU/Scruffy team as a whole and we are gathering lots of information on the cars which will allow us to iron out the teething troubles associated with any new design, the only way to learn what works in the ‘real world’ is to race the cars! Everyone is confident that we will field all three cars for the next rounds in June at Snetterton.
