We finally managed to get the Porsche race ready for the long drive up to Oulton. It is quite a journey from the STC to this circuit but it’s worth the trip!
As this was our first time out racing the car and we had very little chance to test beforehand our aim for this weekend was to finish the race and for Adam and Paul to start getting dialled in to the car.
Qualifying was very wet and we were a bit unsure that the setup was going to work but in actual fact whatever we had done to the car since the last time it was out at Snetterton had made a big difference and the guys were happy with the handling.
The race was dry and starting from 17th on the grid Paul hit the limiter off the line and lost a couple of places but he got his head down and by the time we called him into the pits to hand over to Adam he’d got them back.
Adam was on it straight away and showed good pace, getting quicker and quicker in his stint bringing the car across the line in 15th.
A great first outing for the 924S!
