Red C: 7th overall 3rd in class D
The Gp 2 race was first with Mike confident that he could capitalise on his good performance in qualifying. A great first stint and a good pit stop saw him make up several places. After the stop he was hunting down the V8 powered Sunbeam Tiger but a lap and a half stuck behind the already lapped E Type of David Edge allowed the Tiger to pull out a lead that kept Mike at bay until the flag. A great drive, 7th overall and 3rd in Class D. Best lap 55.63 seconds.
Matt and Marks race never really started! after running faultlessly in qualifying Bluebell refused to rev over 2000rpm on the parade lap. Matt was forced to return to the paddock where the fault was eventually traced to the newly fitted airfilter. No, we couldn’t believe it either!
