Swinging Sixties Round 6
Well, another disappointing result at Mallory last weekend. After a cracking performance in qualifying which saw Kym out qualify three 1380cc Midgets (Kym’s is only 1275cc) the team discovered a broken part in the fuel system which was causing a major fuel leak around the carbs. Despite everyone’s best efforts it wasn’t possible to replace or repair it to a safe standard so the difficult decision was made to scratch from the race on safety grounds. A shame as the circuit clearly suited both car and driver, however when the safety of the car and most importantly the driver is a stake it’s just not a risk worth taking.
Shame as it was looking really good in qualifying!
